Taobao Review 1 - Part 2

Sorry it took a long time, but here's part 2.


I had three more items I got from Taobao. but two of them only just fit so I had to install zips.

Maroon skirt with bloomers:

Thoughts:

The material is really high quality, very thick and having the bloomers underneath is great. The sizing was a little small and the elastic in the back didn't give much so was incredibly hard to get into. With a lot of effort I managed to squeeze in and once on fit ok. and looked cute. So I thought even though its not quite big enough to easily slip on and off if I put a zip in it, it would be all good. My hand sewing skills aren't very good but I didn't have access to a machine to use so I made do. and it turned out alright. but was hard because of the two layers. The skirt now fits great with the zip and is awesome! Although because my thighs are quite large the leg holes are very stretched to fit on me, so you can't see as many cute ruffles. Oh the bow on the front is also detachable.

Thoughts:



Like the marron skirt the shorts were also not true to size and I had trouble getting then on, but once on were fine. The was also a stitching default on the left leg the bottom was hooked up. I had to unpick that and add a zip but then they were perfect. The material was also very thick and it also has a lining on the inside. Apart from the bottom of the leg being stitched up to the pants it was very well made. The shorts have suspenders which are button on and can be adjusted if you need them shorter. I do have them on the largest they go and they just fit.
I will probably wear this mostly without the suspenders, unless I wear tights under the shorts so they don't seem as short when the suspenders hike it up.

I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of these shorts now that I had added a zip so they are easy to get in and out of.

Thoughts:

Fits perfectly. Though I would have preferred a little bigger for shirts where the collar isn't as close fitting to my neck. But its really cute. Well made. Adjustable for those with smaller necks. I have a large neck so its on the biggest it goes. The colour is very dark so looks black

Strapya world - Hamee Haul/Review

I ordered a few things of Strapya world. also known as Hamee.

They have so many cute plushies, key chains, and other wonderful things.

I ordered on: 4th June
The package was shipped on: 5th June
And it arrived on: 11th June
It was really fast considering it came from Japan.

 I got a total of 4 items only.

(Sorry a few of the items are poor photography. The lighting kept changing causing it to blur.)



Firstly I got this 3D My Melody puzzle:

 

It was really difficult to make because the pieces would fall when I hadn't lent them on another. but its super cute and was really fun to make. Its only a couple of inches tall so its fairly cute and I can sit it on my window sill. Once pieced together some of the puzzle pieces blend together so you can't see them well but some not so much so that's the only downfall. I don't like that I can see the gaps that much. But that could have just been my dodgy puzzlework. Overall its great.4.5/5



I got this adorable Jiji figure:

 

Kiki's delivery service is one of my favourite movies. I had originally wanted to get a Totoro plush but they were out of stock of any large ones but then I saw this and fell in love. I had always wanted something that was Jiji!! Jiji is about 3 inches tall or so and fluffy! Its so cute. Exactly how I would have imagined Jiji. And she has an adorable large ribbon around her neck to make her extra cute. I now have her sitting next to my computer screen because its so awesome. No downfalls at all. Definitely 5/5!!



Korilakkuma:

I also got a Korilakkuma plush because she's cute. and its was really affordable. Rilakkuma was out of stock when I made my purchase but Korilakkuma was there as a substitute which I was fine with. They are both equally adorable. Its a great size for a plushies, so super soft. Only thing I don't like is that it doesn't sit up very well, but that's ok i'll just lean her again my other plushies. 4.5/5



And finally I got this super duper adorable Moo Moo plush:

 

I just call it my Moo Cow! SOOOO CUTE! She is so fat and was a great price! Now sitting right on my bed. Because she's so round she's so fun to hug which is perfect. 5/5!!!



The shipping price was really good. Really affordable and came in such a large sturdy box and was all rolled up in bubble wrap. It was only around $5.00!

I loved shopping from Strapya world and hope to do so again one day.

Taobao Review 1 - Part 1

YAY My Taobao order arrived last week ^_^

 

I placed my order through Yoybuy on the 30th April 2014. They contacted me quickly to say that one of the items was currently out of stock and would be about a week extra for that one. As it was the item I wanted most (galaxy sailorfuku) and I only wanted to pay for the large shipping once I said I'd wait.

Well I didn't have to wait that long, it came sooner than I thought. As people had told me they take at least a month or more. It was shipped on the 8th May 2014. So that's wasn't bad!

It arrived either the 25th or 26th of May.

My parcel was quite big!

Here are my initial photos of the item:

 

Thoughts:

The material is really good quality, quite thick. I first wore it with bright coloured undergarments and you could only just see it, so it's quite thick and opaque. Wearing nude or white coloured would be perfect. The item I received looked exactly like the photos online, no differences so that was good.I bought a XL, since they are Asian sizes . It fits really well in the arms and body in terms of length. Its not a fitted shirt though so it's a little wide instead of slim, like any regular shirt. The large collar is really cute but a little overwhelming on its own sometimes, so that's why I paired it with a pale pink fluffy jumper from Valley girl to tone it down a bit.

The only bit I don't quite like it at the ruffles on the wrist there is an elastic which is there so it is close to your skin but your hand can fit through, but the elastic rolls up sometimes when I reach out and becomes visible by pushing the ruffle back. I just need to take care when reaching out.

I bought the shirt and skirt separate so I could get the larger sizing. which worked well because then I could have the short skirt but long sleeve shirt.

Thoughts:

I absolutely love it!!! The skirt (XL) has a really long zip so it easy to get into with my larger thighs and hips. and a button as well to keep it up. There is elastic on both left and right sides so is a great fit. It is quite a short skirt but when is a cosplay sailor fuku not? It was as expected.

The shirt (XL) is a great length in body and arms. There is also a zip down one side of the shirt to make getting in easier, but it was fine to get into anyway. the bow and 'undershirt' area are both detachable for easy dressing. and I can use the bow on other things then too.
The colour printing is great quality, super cute print.
The material is quite a light weight one, probably better for a summer or spring wear, even though it is long sleeve. it is think enough I don't need to wear something else underneath in terms of under clothing visibility which is always a plus. but I might wear a singlet anyway.
